How Can You Get a Document Notarized in the Greater Phoenix Area?
You can have any document you wish Notarized in the greater Phoenix area, except for vital records such as Birth Certificates or Death Certificates. Vital Records must come from the issuing party and will contain an approved notarization seal. For all other documents you wish to have Notarized you must simply appear before the Notary Public and be willing and able to sign the document with valid identification. Valid identification would consist of a non-expired driver's license, non-expired State ID Card, a non-expired Military ID, or a Non-Expired United States Passport. You must also be coherent, understand the document you are signing, and be willing to sign the document without any encouragement from other parties.
If you are not able to produce a valid form of identification you may also provide a credible witness which is someone who is above the age of 18, is not named in the document and will not benefit from the document, preferably not-blood related, and has a valid form of ID. This person must be willing to take a sworn oath administered by the Notary Public that you are who you say you are and they must also sign the Notary's Journal on a subsequent line (along with you).
Where Can You Get a Document Notarized in The Greater Phoenix Area?
Unfortunately, most Banks will not Notarized documents for customers unless they are the banks own forms. FedEx also no longer provides Notarizations; however, some UPS Stores will notarize select documents but also reject many documents as well. This is because there is a lot of responsibility and liability when notarizing a document.

Most Notaries today throughout the country, and right here in Arizona, are now sole entities (or signing services) that provide Mobile Notary Public services. Meaning they will travel, or send a Notary, to your home, workplace, a public place, a hospital, care facility, or a jail.
